A contemporary event space in Portland’s Pearl District, Urban Studio’s historic corner building has been a staple since the early 1900s when it was occupied by the Denby Motor Truck Company. The space maintains some of its former warehouse features with large windows, exposed ceilings, and an open floor plan. A garage door opens to the sidewalk on NW 10th Ave with the Portland Streetcar just steps away.

Formerly a neglected corridor of abandoned warehouses and railways, local gallery owner Thomas Augustine dubbed the new name to suggest that its industrial buildings were like crusty oysters and that the galleries and artists’ lofts within were like pearls.
Now easily one of Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Pearl District is home to some of the city’s best known chefs and restaurants, world class art galleries, and vibrant shops and boutiques.

THE BANQUET ROOM
The main feature: a sunken banquet room accented in walls of pewter, chocolate brown and pearly white.
THE BAR
A broad bar separates the banquet room from the reception area, perfect for transitioning smoothly from one highlight of the event to the next.
THE LOFT
Overlooking the banquet area is an open loft, stairs tucked away at the back of the room.
